There's something special about the holiday season–the crisp winter air, and the traditions that bring families together. One of my favorite ways to celebrate this time of year is through Christmas tree farm mini sessions in Southern Indiana.
Last year's sessions were so fun! Families, couples, and little ones bundled up, surrounded by rows of evergreens, creating the perfect festive backdrop for their holiday photos. If you've ever dreamed of capturing the warmth and joy of the season in a timeless way, a Christmas tree farm mini session is the perfect way to do it.
A Cozy, Simple Setup for Authentic Moments
The beauty of these sessions is in their simplicity–just you, your loved ones, and the charm of the Christmas season. To add a festive touch, I set up a cozy bench and brought along a few props–wrapped presents and a red knit blanket. But more than anything, I wanted to keep the space flexible, allowing couples and families to use (or not use) the props in a way that felt natural to them.
One of my favorite moments was when a couple brought both their cat and dog along for their session! Watching them cuddle up with their pets was such a sweet and genuine scene. It's these little, unscripted moments that make storytelling photography so special to me.
